Change.org should be explicitly clear and state that funds raised is kept by Change.org

When I’ve signed Change.org petitions in the past, there’s a little window that pops up that shows how much other people are contributing. This is a simple psychological trick that makes most people who see it, also contribute. What Change.org don’t tell you, or even clearly point out, is that they are a for-profit organisation that makes in excess of $12 000 000 per year. None of the funds raised go to the person or entity that raised the petition.

Change.org is profiting from peoples and animals problems. They should be more open and transparent about the money they raise for themselves. There should, at the very least, be a percentage of the raised funds that get distributed to the person/entity that raised the issue.

    Do the right thing, Change.org.
