Banks need to add options to remove buyers names off loans after divorce

I divorced my "now ex-husband" in 2011. In the divorce decree, he chose to keep the house. He did not want to sell, because he wanted to live there. The decree stated that he was to attempt to refinance every year in order to remove my name from the loan. In the year following the divorce, he started the process of refinancing. In order for him to refinance, I filed a quit claim deed giving all rights and responcibility to him. In the middle of the process he lost his job. Therefore, he could not refinance at that time.

Now he is living out of state and renting the property to some of his family. It is now three years later and I live with my parents. I am still waiting on him to refinance and Wells Fargo will not release me as co-owner. I cannot go on with my life with this hanging over my head. This is not fair to anyone in this situation.

I am asking Wells Fargo to release me so that I may go on with my life, and I can purchase my own home. Please sign my petition, because I'm sure I am not the only one in this position.
