Bring Tushies Diapers back

  • by: Ron Zinn
  • recipient: The Hain Celestial Group

Many babies are allergic and/or extremely irritated by gel diapers. Tushies were the most natural diaper on the market with no SAP (Super Absorbent Polymers, AKA gel). Since the end of last year, acquiring Tushies has become near impossible which has been extremely frustrating to the parents relying on these diapers.

Further investigation discovered the The Hain Celestrial Group acquired TenderCare International, the Wisconsin-based marketer and distributor of Tushies and TenderCare brands. Many people have attempted to contact Hain Celestrial Group to ascertain the status of Tushies and whether they will be producing more. To date, The Hain Celestrial Group has not provided a straight answer.

This looks like The Hain Celestrial Group merely acquired TenderCare to eliminate the competition. Their website doesn’t even show the brand anymore and the Tushies website directs consumers to Earth’s Best® Chlorine Free Diapers (which are not gel-free).

If indeed The Hain Celestrial Group simply acquired TenderCare to eliminate competition, including removing the product from the market, then it would appear that the company does not really care as much as it claims and certainly is not trust-worthy.

Hain Celestrial Group, please prove this is not true and bring back Tushies or at least a comparable, gel-free product (the current Earth’s Best diaper is not comparable)!

Dear Hain Celestrial Group,

Please bring back Tushies or at least a comparable, gel-free product.

Parents using Tushies diapers have become increasingly frustrated since the acquisition of TenderCare International. There does not seem to be any new Tushies Diapers being produced and there has been no official status of these diapers. Many babies/children are allergic to SAP (Super Absorbent Polymers, AKA gel) and their parents are dependent on Tushies since they were the most natural diaper, gel-free diaper on the market. This lack of communication regarding this product would seem to indicate a lack of care about your consumers.
