Justice for Pregnant Dog Beaten for "Trespassing"

WARNING: DISTURBING AND GRAPHIC INFORMATION FOLLOWS

In October, a pregnant dog was severely beaten in India for "trespassing." She was let go with one eye hanging out of its socket, the other severely injured and her face smeared with blood. Only, she can’t see even the blood that drops from her mouth now. She won’t be able to see the babies that she is going to deliver (hopefully uninjured) in a few days. So much for trespassing?

We demand justice for this pregnant pup. NO animal deserves this type of treatment. We demand a animal protection law: if anyone harm animals, he or she should be punished accordingly. It should be considered as the worst crime, because animals are unable to protect themselves.

As The Bengalurean reports:

"A four-year-old pregnant bitch had entered the house of three brothers, Harmeet Singh, Makhan Singh and Dassa Singh, in Chandigarh’s Raipur Khurd on 11th October 2016, reports The Tribune. The three brothers (who according to their neighbour, Pradeep Singh, had killed another dog a few months ago) brutally ‘punished’ the bitch for trespassing.

"Pradeep had rushed to the spot on hearing her cries. He saw Harmeet with a sharp object in his hand and the brutal injuries afflicted on the poor canine. They had inserted the sharp object into her eyes and thrashed her. Pradeep was told to back off by the brutes. Pradeep’s cousin Harjot Singh subsequently carried the injured bitch to Balongi from where she was referred to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Hospital.

"Dr Rakesh Sharma told The Tribune, "Since it is pregnant, we can’t give a very high dose of medication. A surgery will be conducted on the canine after the delivery, which is expected in about five to six days" while maintaining that the canine has negligible vision in the eye that was left intact. Pradeep had lodged a complaint on 14th October but to no avail.

"While he holds police responsible for inaction, the other neighbourhood residents call for a strict, exemplary punishment to be given to the offenders. The Police, on the other hand, are awaiting the canine’s medical report to register an FIR."

this type of incident should not take place again so you should make a strict law for to protect animals animals and we all looking at you sir.
