Halt plans to ruin a great sanctuary on Hòn Bà

Please sign this petition to help protect the wonderful Hòn Bà summit in the Khánh Hòa province of Vietnam against the planned installation of a cable car system. There is no doubt in my mind that such a system will be detriment to the very soul of the Alexandre Yersin museum. The road to the museum is in very good condition and offers splendid view while the visitor descends to 1,586 meters AGL. A cable car system is bound to destroy the view, flood the area with visitors who, following the local habit will litter everywhere. Furthermore, following local procedures there will be no guarantees that wildlife will not be disturbed. Anyone who has visited the mountain and enjoyed the peacefulness and serenity would be horrified to learn of the planned destruction of same. This is the news article outlining the plans:

As is common in Vietnam the people is rarely heard in cases like this. And the visitors for whom this is all supposedly done, have not been heard either.

The area in question is already a nature reserve.
