For years now we (the motorist of New York) have been bullied a City Agency, known as the Traffic Bureau. The fact that this primarily the result of forcing Traffic Agents to meet certain quotas has result in tickets being issued illegally and when a person goes to court to fight the ticket, they are 98% of the time found guilty and the other 2% are still force to pay a mandatory state fee ($85) for the ticket itself,. After accumulating more than $300 dollars in tickets the City then sends out its agents who place metal boots on the wheels of the vehicle to prevent it from being moved. So if you are in litigation against the City for any ticket no notification is given to these agents and then you are given two days to pay or your vehicle will be towed and kept in a garage which means that you will be unable to pay your rent and forced to relinquish the automobile even thought it might be your prime source of getting to work(especially if you are disable or having heart complications). I received a ticket simply because I have a heart condition and after experiencing pains in my chest I pulled over simply t be told (by a policeman) that I was too close to a bus stop even though I was parked adjacent a poll designed for parking. Never once did he ask if I needed the assistance of an ambulance and this is the sad state that the Comptroller's Office of the City of New York has used to claim extra monies for their budget. This is a direct attack against all hard working law abiding citizens who are only trying to work and support their families and it needs to be stopped immediately and all those agents (both Traffic and Uniformed Police ) who maliciously lie and fabricate the truth held accountable.
