On 12th November,2014 a video surfaced on YouTube of a woman stripped at a bus stage in Nairobi Kenya for allegedly being indecently dressed. This led to a recurrence of events in other towns around Kenya. The police and the Government are silent on the matter. Every woman is in fear! The issue has sparked debate in the media including Social media with men justifying the act as necessary to teach women who don't wear decently a lesson...others have gone to the point of justifying rape for this reason. On Monday the 17th November, 2014 all women in Kenya held demonstrations against this grave act which amounts to violation of Women's rights and an ACT OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN! However, yet another woman was stripped and this time assaulted requiring hospitalization. Our fight is indeed far from over! Join us in our fight to end this violence against women in Kenya!

Update #19 years ago
The Government has only taken action by condemning the acts thought the media. No tangible acts have been taken with the police stating that once complaints are filed is when investigations will begin. Yesterday as women took to the streets to protest, another woman was stripped and assaulted requiring hospitalization. Our fight is far from over! Please continue supporting us!
