Please signing and share this petition in an effort to support the World Wildlife's efforts in saving wild animals like the big majestic tigers from captivity through private ownership, in zoos and circuses. According to the Big Cats and Public Safety Protection Act, we are encouraging Congress to pass a law that bans these types of practices, not only for the safety of humans but the these glorious tigers and other wild animals.

Through their investigation, the World Wildlife Fund has surmised that the attack on humans throughout many countries like the United States, India, Australia, China and Singapore has escalated tremendously because of the dangers and cruelty endured by one of the planet's top predators while in captivity. Several children and adults have been killed by large cats in captive situations like zoos, circuses, private "entertainment venue's" and even private ownership.

Statistically, the WWF estimates that about 5,000 tigers are being held in captivity in the USA alone, with 6 percent residing in zoos and similar facilities. Unbelievably, the remainder of these animals are held in tiny, repulsive cages in unaccredited zoos, private backyards, circuses, sideshows, private ownership, truck stops for private viewing and private breeding facilities. These occurrences happen because most areas have little to no regulations, and those that do are not enforced.

These animals need to be in their natural habitats or in sanctuaries like the one at Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Texas, where the needs of the tigers is a top priority. Help us to support Congress in passing a law that will ban ownership of tigers in zoos, circuses and any private ownership or venues. Additionally, not only should these laws be implemented, they need to be enforced for the health and well-being of the tigers and humans.

Congress Department Lawmakers - We encourage you to pass a law nationwide that bans anyone from owning of tigers in zoos, circuses and any private parties or venues. The WWF has done extensive research and found that too many wild animals such as tigers are being kept in captivity and held in tiny, repulsive cages in unaccredited zoos, private backyards, circuses, sideshows, private ownership, truck stops for private viewing and private breeding facilities. Such practices causes stress and aggressiveness in the animals and grave danger to any humans they encounter. These top predators are not meant to live a life of captivity. Create laws against it in all states and ensure they are strictly enforced for the well-being of the tigers and humans as well.
