End the Main Cause of Global Warming, NOW!!!

People are talking about how our Earth is warming up, and if we don't do anything about it, it will become far to hot for life. But what exactly IS happening?

First of all, let's start with the cause of global warming. The Green House Effect. Our atmosphere is like a green house. The heat comes through the "glass"(atmosphere), but in a green house, when the heat tries to escape, it can't, because it is hard for it to get back out through the glass. But in our atmosphere, when the heat tries to escape, it gets reflected back, causing a heat loop. When certain types of gases get released into, called green house gases, they absorb energy and heat from the sun. But they also attack the ozone layer. The ozone layer absorbs heat, helping keep Earth cool, but since it is starting to go away, or built in AC is going bye bye. Some of these green house gases include carbon dioxide(co2), nitrous oxide, and methane.

One cause of The Green House Effect is that we are burning far to many fossil fuels. Most people have 2 or even 3 cars/motor vehicles in their driveways. When we drive, (e-cars and standard fuel cars) we burn fossil fuels. Regular cars produce exhaust, something that contains co2. E-cars use green house gasses to charge them. An alternative is to use cars less. Walk, or ride a bike more often. Not only is this more eco-friendly, but it is always a good way to get exercise. While I was in middle school, I walked to/from school everyday.

Another cause of global warming is deforestation. Plants absorb co2, and give off oxygen. When we keep cutting down trees, we are getting rid of something that gets rid of green house gases for us. Also, during deforestation, we are getting rid of animals habitats.

Global warming is causing glaciers and ice caps to melt. What does ice turn into when heated? Water. What is Earth gong to do with all this extra water? Think of it like this. Let's say your pouring water into a cup. The cup represents the oceans, the water represents, well, the ocean water, and everything outside the cup is Earths' land. When you overfill it, the water spills over onto the "land." That's exactly what is happening to Earth right now! Coastal cities are being flooded. But we can stop it.

It doesn't happen overnight, but Earth is heating up dangerously whether we like it or not. And if we don't do anything about it, then we, and many generations, are in deep trouble. Share this, to end this. WE are ruining our world. WE are heating it up. WE can fix it.
