Pitt Springs Run has not only been a long time recreational area for the families in and around Page County, but also serves as a much respected historical landmark.
We have been waiting long enough for reconstruction of the entrance, which by my standards is not unsafe as it is.
This petition is to make the Department of Forestry aware that there are people that use the Page Co. entrance to George Washington National Forest frequently enough, when it is open, that something needs to be done.
At this point foliage is starting to grow thick around Catherine's furnace, making it nearly inaccessible and also creating habitat for dangerous animals in what at one time was a family friendly, and easily accessible piece of county history.
We're tired of waiting for something that is seemingly never going to happen, and we want it fixed.
