Leopard and Hyena cub abused for pride in Jaipur - Abhishek Kadyan

Cubs of leopard, hyena, gharial and crocodile were brought from Jaipur Zoo to Nahargarh Zoological Park by the DFO for photo session, violating the rules and regulation, complaint for Zero FIR has been lodged, CZA, WCCB and AWBI alerted for immediate legal action.

Cubs of leopard, hyena, gharial and crocodile were brought from Jaipur Zoo to Nahargarh Zoological Park by the DFO for photo session, violating the rules and regulation, complaint for Zero FIR has been lodged, CZA, WCCB and AWBI alerted for immediate legal action, besides it State Emblem of India was also insulted.

Naresh Kadyan issued Notice u/s 55 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 as below:


Kindly refer to the presence of Chief Wildlife Warden of Rajasthan, on June 4, 2016 at Nahargarh Zoological Park and with his silent consent cubs of leopard, hyena, gharial and crocodile were shifted from Jaipur zoo to Nahargarh unnecessarily, reason behind was to display and exhibition before the top Ministers and Bureaucrats, besides it photo opportunity for the Media Adviser to the Chief Minister, violating the legal provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 read with the section 3 and 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and IPC 188, 268, 389, 120-B, Insult of Emblem, because:



  1. Cubs were shifted unnecessarily and abused during event.

  2. Playing with cubs and photo session was wrong.

  3. State Emblem was placed without devnagiri words, treated as insult.

  4. Flood lights and heavy sound of loudspeakers, disturbed the peace of the rescued animals.


Hence, I placed this Notice under section 55 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, before all concerned, for strict legal action against all offenders, for the violation of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 read with the section 3 and 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and IPC 188, 268, 389, 120-B, Insult of Emblem.
