SAVE OUR PUBLIC LANDS AND NATIONAL PARKS___ RENEW THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND!

The Land and Water Conservation Fund is not Tax Payer funded.. The preservation of our National Parks , Wilderness Area's and Public Land is largely funded by Oil and Gas, Mining and Logging corporations. It is compensation that they pay for disturbing and destroying land and water . The money is used to strengthen other wilderness, National Parks and public lands to keep them safe from development. Only 46% of the money in this fund has gone to doing this over the past several years
According to the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1965, when the sale or transfer of any Federal land is proposed it is the right of the American people to challenge such move in court. It also says that ANY transfer or sale is supposed to take into account the will of the general public. We can not let just a handful of people behind closed doors sell our public land without the consent of the people.
