TO:  The Honorable Debra Harris; San Bernardino County Superior Court and Michael Ramos, San Bernardino County District Attorney

We, the undersigned, are asking for full prosecution under the law for

SHERREE LYNN LUTTER;  CASE # FVI1400527

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: FELONY: TEN COUNTS

Due to the nature of the charges filed against SHERREE LYNN LUTTER, and her lengthy animal-related legal history, we are asking that no plea-bargaining be permitted in this case, and that should she be found guilty, that she be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  We also ask the court  that Sherree Lutter be ordered to never be permitted have animals in her possession, for the remainder of her life.

Since 2004, Sherree Lutter has been charged with, and has been convicted of the following animal-related charges:

  • -Illegal Kennel
  • -Unlicensed Dogs (numerous)
  • -Unvaccinated Dogs (numerous)
  • -Substandard Conditions
  • -Duty to Abate
  • -Invalid Land Use
  • -Public Nuisance Abatement

Currently, and in addition to the ten felony animal cruelty charges before her, she has an additional combined 119 (one-hundred nineteen) charges of mandatory spay/neuter of a dog (13 counts), unlicensed dogs (53 counts) and unvaccinated dogs (53 counts).

In this current case, Sherree Lutter refused numerous, legitimate offers of help from the non-profit animal welfare community throughout Southern California, as well as concerned private citizens to network and place the dogs at her property, while the animals were left in freezing night time temperatures, and were forced by Sherree to suffer from starvation, dehydration, serious untreated injuries and illnesses, requiring emergency veterinary treatment.

Other dogs were left with little to no human contact, and became so feral, that they were unable to be safely handled by humans, and sadly, were deemed dangerous and unadoptable.

For these reasons, Sherree Lutter should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It is time that those who cause this level of harm to animals...unable to advocate for themselves, be made to pay for their crimes.  Until an example is made of those responsible for these crimes, others will continue in their footsteps, expecting nothing more than a slap on the hand for the suffering and death they are responsible for.

Thank you for taking the time to read our petition, and for considering our concerns in this case.
