Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif People of Pakistan need your attentain to save their lives

Attention. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, People of Pakistan need your attentain to save their lives.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif,

Too many people are dying every day in Pakistan because of suicide attacks, bombings and other criminal terrorist activities. On December 16 Pakistan had an especially horrific day: 141 people died in Peshawar - most of them were young children whose only crime was to be students in a particular school. It was one of the worst tragedies in human history, and people not only in Pakistan but worldwide would like to ask you some questions:

1. Is there accountability for the mass killing of people in Pakistan, and does law and order really exist there?

 2. Are Pakistan’s citizens really living in peace?

3. How do you intend to provide critical security to this nation?

 4. What is the point of being a nuclear power if you cannot provide security to the nation including young children in their schools?

 5. The Crime Rate in Pakistan is increasing, the country is slipping towards poverty and respect for law & order is declining every day – how will you reverse all this?

 6. Why is the government unable to control the many suicide attacks happening in Pakistan?

As Prime Minister it is incumbent on you to have answers to these questions. People in Pakistan have suffered enough and deserve some peace, and to tell the world what steps you are taking to protect this country.

We the undersigned therefore ask your response to these questions, and urge your Government to immediately give priority to the following:

1. Security for Pakistan’s citizens, communities, localities, and provinces: Promote all media in Pakistan (and beyond) to urgently educate all citizens to cease any violence against each other, in the name of preserving the nation and of following true Islamic practices of building a strong and united Pakistan that can be a respected part of the global ummah.

2. Education: To immediately focus on educating all Pakistani citizens (males and female equally), and offering a universal basic education system throughout Pakistan, instead of the current use of resources for excessive build-up of arms, defense and nuclear power.

 3. Corruption: To eliminate at every level of governance and within Pakistani civil society all forms of corruption, and ensuring that basic justice is comprehensively and fairly enforced by courts in every criminal and civil jurisdiction and instance.

 4. Respect of Human Life: Encourage religious scholars, irrespective of their particular religion or schools of thought, to use all forms of media, newspapers, as well as their masajid and community centers, to teach respect for human life, and to remind their congregations and audiences that Islam teaches us to respect every human regardless of their religion or nationality.
