This Person Stuffed Their Puppy in a Purse and Dumped It in a Charity Shop

Pogs, Tamago virtual pets, tie-dye T-shirts — these are some of the fads that have come and gone over the last decades. Most of them have been long forgotten, many of them are laughable now. But when it comes to pet fads, when an animal becomes a fashion item for the latest season, there's nothing funny about it.

Take handbag dogs for example. The cute and cuddly canines that are so small they can fit inside a purse. There's been a boom for these types of dogs in recent years, mainly spawned by the exposure they have gotten now that several celebrities like Paris Hilton have been seen parading them around.

When the trend was booming, people bought and adopted them in droves. But now that handbag dogs have virtually fallen out of style. The animals that were once in big demand, are now as easily changed as, well, a handbag.

That's what happened to a Border terrier cross now called Radley. Whoever owned Radley decided that the pup was "so last season." They tied a hairband around his front paws, stuffed him in a purse and left him dangling from the doorknob of a store in West London. The bag had a not attached which said: "found this dog."

Luckily Radley was found and taken to get treatment for his paws which had some circulation damage due to the hairband. When he is better he will be up for rehoming.

While this story had a happy ending. It could have ended much worse. If someone hadn't found him in time, he could have suffered serious injuries from the hairband, or worse.

Now it's up to authorities to find the person who abandoned little Radley and bring them to justice. Please tell London law enforcement that you are behind them 100%. Sign the petition and tell them you want justice for Radley.
