Stop Horrifying Attacks on India's Children and Women

Recent reports that a 5-year-old girl was gang raped by three men in New Delhi, followed by the rape of a two-year-old girl by two men have caused the people of New Delhi to say enough is enough and rise up in a public show of anger. They are demanding that more be done to prevent the unprecedented rise in sexual assaults across their country and they need your help!

Fortunately, the rapists in both cases of the little girl and toddler have been arrested. However, even before the rape of these children, news reports stated emphatically that "Delhi is now India’s rape capital." Meaning, the people of New Dehli know that without harsher punishments and a stronger law enforcement presence, these barbaric assaults will continue as the rapists become more bold in their attacks.

Unfortunately, sexual violence against girls and women isn't isolated to Dehli or new. Just last year two teenage cousins were sexually assaulted and then murdered by a group of men as they searched for a private place to relieve themselves. Their bodies were hanged from a tree.

Tell the Prime Minister of India that you stand with the citizens of his country and implore him to making sweeping changes to STOP THESE RAPES!

Dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi,

I was heartbroken and outraged to learn of the rapes of a five-year-old girl and two-year-old girl in New Delhi. And while I am relieved to know the rapists have been arrested, I reamain troubled by the increasing frequency of such sickening attacks.

I stand with the citizens of your country in demanding more police protection and harsher punishments for rapists. Rape is a horrific crime on any level, but now that children are being targeted the need for action is even more urgent.

Please take swift and decisive action to protect the women and children of your country from these assaults.

Sincerely,

[Your name]
