Demand Justice for Assaulted Endangered Sea Turtles!

As you can see from the photo above, mobs of tourists have repeatedly swarmed past the few rangers and guards on protected beaches of Costa Rica and assaulted endangered sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs. These tourists took selfies as well as photos of each other and their children climbing upon the pregnant turtles and trampling their nests, completely ignorant or uncaring of the danger they were doing upon these living treasures of the sea. This senseless violence must be stopped! It's the environmental equivalent of having crowds rush into hospitals to take pictures of themselves with pregnant women about to give birth, pushing aside hospital staff and family members to do so.

Everybody is connected by social media nowadays, so it shouldn't be difficult to find these heartless idiotic tourists via their selfies and other photos taken on Ostenial Beach Refuge and other protected turtle nurseries. Additionally, the tour guides and travel agents should be easy to find so they, too, can be educated as to why they should stop bringing tourists to delicate ecosystems. This petition recommends having all the identified perpetrators pay fines to cover the cost of having each person take lessons in environmental stewardship plus do 1000 hours of community service. Perhaps Jonathon Miller-Weisberger of 4Biodiversity.org could provide the education and recommend venues for their community service work.
