Elephant poachers need to be stopped!

Every 15 minutes another Elephant dies. Every day 300 Elephants die. Every year 100 000 Elephants are slaughtered by selfish poachers. Poachers illegally take the lives of innocent Elephants every Day, invading their natural habitat to slaughter them. They are killed for their tusks, so their entire beautiful body is left there and all the poachers take, are the tusks. There are people there to protect these beautiful creatures, but when they try and protect them, they get killed by the poachers along with the elephants. As a solution to the problem, Elephants have had their tusks died bright colours, which causes them no harm, so they will not be wanted by poachers. Although it has worked in some cases, this cannot be done to all Elephants, because it can effect their relationships with other animals, because other animals might feel scared or threatened by the change. As mentioned earlier, poachers kill the elephants for their tusks, to make jewellery, cutlery and other accessories. The thing is, we don't need their tusks to make these things, we can use other materials like metal and wood. So why do they do it if its not actually needed? Baby Elephants are also slaughtered when found by poachers even though they are not even old enough to have tusks they get slaughtered for absolutely no reason. Elephants are also needed by other animals in the wild. Their large footprints act as water collectors for smaller animals. In some places in Africa including Sierra Leone and Senegal, Elephants have already been driven to extinction. Science has proved that at the rate Elephant numbers are dropping, they could be completely extinct from the wild by 2025. If we do not act now these beautiful loving creatures will no longer exist. Stop Elephant poaching now.
