Justice for the KY 27 Conroy - Conroy Trial (March 5, 2014)

27 Airedale Terriers were rescued from the property of Thoma Acres Kennels located in Henderson, KY (USA). The animals were found neglected, harmed, ill, and deprived of basic needs to survive. After the dogs were seized on August 7th, 2013, a local animal control agency stated the following:
They, “discovered 26 dogs in kennels that were encrusted with layers of fecal matter. The entire building which housed the animals was covered in dirt, fecal matter, urine, mouse droppings, spider webs and flies. The gates for the kennels were in disrepair, and emergency evacuation of the animals from the facility would have been impossible, A noose was hanging from the ceiling.” He also stated that, "unaltered males and females were crammed into the same pen, the drink water was black and moving."
Jamie Alka,VMD of Henderson Animal Clinic states her professional findings after examination:  “Eighteen of the dogs would be considered extremely emaciated, All the dogs were anemic due to whipworms and hookworms, hair matted with feces, majority of the dogs also had ear and eye infections.”
Richard A. Conroy and Dorothea C. Conroy are being brought to trial on accounts of animal cruelty, failure to provide rabies shots, failure to produce city-county tags, and operating a breeding facility without a permit.
I ask you to sign this petition and urge the courts to further examine the March 5th, 2014 Conroy -Conroy trial.
Whitnesses of the seize have brought further indication for questioning of the Conroy-Conroy trial. During their rescue operation a  'kill dog'  was recovered with half its mandible intact. There was also a hangman's noose, poles with nails at the end, and 22 recovered skulls on the property as evidence of the lack of animal welfare and abuse the Conroys bestowed upon the Airedales in their care.
I urge you to please sign this petition that we may help strengthen the Animal Welfare for the state of KY, that the courts will have our support for the harshest penalty possible in this case, and most of all, that there may finally be Justice for the KY 27.
