Give Holmen High School Theater Artistic Liberty in Theatre!

Theatre has been and always will be a safe place for all kids to join and share their passion for the spotlight. There are thousands of shows and musicals and scripts just waiting to be broken into, and for the majority of high school students, their high school theatre experience is pivotal. Getting to experience different shows and roles is essential! But unfortunately, the administration at Holmen High School is becoming stricter and stricter, taking away our artistic freedom and liberty with the arts. We are not allowed to do a multitude of shows that are deemed “inappropriate”, “raunchy”, “too mature”, although any shows of that nature are given warnings beforehand. The list of musicals we can do grow slimmer and slimmer, but we want to show theatre that relates, that will entertain. That won’t limit our abilities and choices of shows. Please, sign this petition to convince our administration to open up the doors to more opportunities and shows to inspire us all - like Heathers the Musical!
