USABMX, the largest BMX sanctioning body in the world, sanctions races in over 370 cities in the USA and Canada. Most of their membership are young children, some as young as two years old. USABMX has no policy to address Bullying and allows anyone unsupervised, unfettered, unlimited access to children in remote areas at their many tracks across the USA and Canada. This must not be allowed to continue.
Our children deserve a safe environment, protected from those who would prey upon their innocence, and free from hate. Join with me, and force USABMX to immediately institute policies to PROTECT OUR CHILDREN. Please sign this petition, and spread the word.
We petition USABMX to immediately institute the following policies to PROTECT OUR CHILDREN:
1. A Safeguarding Children Policy: This policy will protect our children from Predators and will require training and background checks for all USABMX employees, Track Operators and Board Members, Photographers, all Team Owners and Team Coaches--all those who would have the most contact and the most position of authority over our children.
2. An Anti Bullying Policy: Bullying and Foul Language will not be tolerated. This policy will cover Riders, Parents, Coaches and USABMX staff and volunteers, and will include penalties and a chain of command and procedures to handle all complaints.
