CANADA WAKE UP AND BAN CRUEL ANIMAL GAS CHAMBER KILLING!

On behalf of all animals inhumanely killed in shelters across Canada.

Gas chamber systems take time before they kill, sometimes as long as 30 minutes, even longer. During the time, animals experience extreme distress and panic, and struggle to survive. When animals inhale the deadly gas, they vomit, suffer convulsions, angina, and muscular spasms.
Some animals have been known to actually survive the gassing, needing to be 're-killed', so to speak. This is considered humane?

Often, many are placed in a chamber at the same time, crowded in so they can be 'done away with' all at once. You must imagine the terror felt by an animal inside such a chamber, while this ancient form of "euthanasia" is being performed. If you look into this, you will find actual footage of gas chamber 'euthanization' as well as find people who worked in shelters that used to use the gas chamber to kill animals, and their statements and experiences with this horror. The animals scream. Workers need to leave the room as this takes place. How can this animal cruelty be allowed in this Country? Animal cruelty is illegal in Canada. Why is THIS not illegal?? 

We need to speak out and convince our government to STOP torturing our animals. Please! These animals have done nothing to deserve this fate.

We are (have been!) known as a caring, civilized country. We need to show the world we still are and put a ban on this horrific treatment of our unwanted shelter pets. It is a brutal way to die and it needs to be outlawed. Gas chambers in every animal shelter and animal holding facility must be discontinued immediately. It, besides being inhumane, is a disgrace to our country.

All air breathing bodies have air within themselves and when exposed to large amounts of gas, eyes begin to burn, fluids are forced to leave the body due to the pressure of the gas as it's released in the area. The larger the animal, the more suffering the animal endures.

So please, do not believe those who say the animals simply go to sleep as we would if there were a CO leak in our homes, or as people have in cars either by acident or design. These animals are not subject to a small leak over hours, they are subjected to a large amount of the gas all at once in a small area.

- (Studies also show that it is dangerous to long-term health of people who work in these facilities as they are exposed to the poisonous gases, despite ventilation.)
