There is nothing more beautiful and natural than our environment that includes many beautiful national parks.  Our parks bring us such joy just to enjoy the view, its history, habitats and all that makes it a special place of warmth and adventure.  Every area across our country has gorgeous national parks including areas around me like the majestic and glorious Smoky Mountain National Park. Great Smoky Mountains are named for low hanging fog produced in early morning hours, and they offer incredible outdoor adventures with a touch of Southern Appalachia culture.     As you will see in the following info about concerns and issues of our parks at https://secure.npca.org/site/Advocacy;jsessionid=3B4EA8EB5AD18E9D345FEA9CA2FF30C3.app322b?pagename=homepage&page=UserAction&id=1573&autologin=true, our Congress is on the verge of finalizing a spending bill that would fund the government for the next year. But what is involved to save our public lands.

We want to ensure the health and beauty of our national parks and speak up to Congress and local representatives to avoid such things as poor air quality and unclean water that would jeopardize the health of our parks. Read the enclosed article on how we all can help and lets have our voices heard in protecting our national parks.

We can’t allow Congress to pass a bill that will be used as an excuse to roll back important protections for our national parks.  The efforts of our petition is to encourage Congress and local representatives to take all necessary steps that will protect our national parks. We want to encourage them to oppose the inclusion of any anti-environmental policy provisions in this spending bill and push to get parks the resources and policies they need to thrive as we get ready to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the National Park Service. You can help in these efforts by signing and sharing this petition.  We can’t let our national parks be destroyed.

U. S. Congress & Tennessee Senators/Representatives – We are speaking out with deep concerns for the environmentally harmful provisions in the upcoming spending bill that could jeopardize longstanding protection of our national parks. We strongly urge you to oppose the inclusion of any anti-environmental policy provisions in this spending bill and push to get parks the resources and policies they need to thrive as we get ready to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the National Park Service. We ask that you take all necessary steps that will protect our national parks.
