Ocean County deserves a Homeless Trust Fund

Extreme poverty, homelessness and a lack of affordable housing are serious problems in Ocean County that it's politicians and Social Services are not addressing adequately. Therefore we need the citizens of Ocean County to join us in a grassroots campaign to demand that the Freeholders of Ocean County approve a County Homeless Trust Fund.

The State of NJ passed a County Homeless Trust Fund Act in 2009, allowing counties to raise money in order to set up a Homeless Task Force that would provide shelter for the homeless and affordable housing for those at risk of becoming homeless. 10 counties have so far implemented it making significant progress in reducing homelessness in those counties
