Demand the reopening of Collingwood basketball court and revitalization of the playground.

The Collingwood basketball hoops were boarded up as a result of shootings in the past in order to keep the children safe which was a decision for the moment but not a long term solution. We, the people who have benefited from Collingwood park as a whole believe that the lack of recreation including the basketball hoops have and will continue to raise the amount of crime committed by further limiting activities available in the borough. We ask for the reopening of the basketball hoops and revitalization of the playground as an effort to create more options for children as well as their parents. The reopening of the basketball hoops and revitalization of the playground is a solution not the problem.
