-working & consistent wifi throughout campus buidlings (Well have wifi on the QUAD) **SFUAD is upgrading all throughout**

-minimize/fix ant issue on campus

-more lighting around campus for comfort & safety

-Proper Maintenance of ALL walkways, roads, sidewalks and staircases THROUGHOUT campus during bad weather conditions

-paying supply/lab fees while its sill not provided for students

THINGS STUDENTS NEED TO START INFORMING SFUAD ABOUT:

-working contact information for the RA's & Security

-properly cooked food at the cafe

To whom it may concern,

Today I had a meeting with Laura Nunelly in Mouton. During this meeting she cleared up a lot of confusion and miss communication about SFUADs priorities. She also informed me that SFUAD is currently fixing most of these issues that this petition is about.

First, I would like to state that the skate park and stop light are not in this next years priority list and most likely will not be happening for some time. *Unless something changes.

Secondly, the redecoration of the cafeteria consists of around 200 new seats for students, so people do not have to sit outside in the snow. . . Rollo. As well as installing some really cool noise barriers so students do not have to yell in order to communicate to the person across from them.

Third, the Student Union is still in a constructive process, but next fall when it is available to students, in the first floor of the library, Student Life will have small surveys that students can fill out right then and there. The survey will consist of questions that relate to how well the Student Union is working, what changes should be made, etc.

Happening this next fall:

-All of the residence halls will be getting new washers and dryers. As well as Laura and a few other people are talking about making a ‘laundry room’ on campus in the future, that will most likely take up part of Kings main lounge.

-The tech support is in the process of getting better wifi service throughout the residence halls, classroom buildings and even for the quad.

-The ant issue is being resolved this summer and will continue to be fixed Monthly by spraying the outsides of the buildings. This will eventually start to show less and less ants in the buildings, but it is also part of the Students to keep their rooms cleaned and making sure ants do not have anything yummy to eat that has been sitting out.

-New lights have been and will be continuing to go up through the campus in areas that have requested. There will be more over by the Studio Art barracks, Marion Center, and one light on the quad for late night activities.

-Proper maintenance for ALL walkways, roads, sidewalks and staircases throughout campus during bad weather conditions. Maintenance will be making two rounds, one in the morning and another later in the afternoon in order to ensure that the walkways, etc. are safe for students, admin, parents, etc. to walk.

-New and working information for RA’s and Security will happen.

-A clearer understanding of what supplies the school will be providing is going to be included into everyones major description. Students will have the option to buy extra supplies if they want specific items the school does not have.

-Students will soon be able to buy everything, except for school merchandise, food related at necessities with their flex points.

Things students need to start informing SFUAD about: in order for these to properly be fixed and taken care of we need to inform the school and who ever is in charge of what happened and when. Otherwise they will not know about and can not change the situation.

-When contacting an RA or Security, if they do not respond or take longer than usual to assist you email Peter Romero (director of security) and David DeVillier (Asst. Director of Campus Life) and give them an overall detailed explanation to what happened.

-If you go to eat at the cafe (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and you receive a plate that has a hair, a bug, the food is not cooked all the way properly, etc. take it back, immediately, to Melody (General Manager for the Cafe) or Chef Paul, and tell them the issue with your plate. They are there to cook for us just like a restaurant, and are required to fix the food so we may eat it. If any problems occur taking the previous actions, go to Mouton and speak with Laura.

Please note, students need to start taking better care of the items throughout campus that we ALL have access to. For example, returning ALL the cafeteria dishes (plates, silverware & cups), also learning to do laundry properly and not breaking the machines doors, overfilling the washer, etc. Stop stealing items from your fellow students, that is sad I even have to say this. These all take respect, kindness, honesty and not being lazy - qualities that are not that hard, especially for a college student.

Update #18 years ago
Adding - Proper maintenance of staircases, roads and sidewalks throughout the whole school during extreme weather. Consisting of properly salting staircases, walkways, etc.
