Having pets is a luxury

According to the Government of Rajoy (in Spain) has increased the tax from 8% to 21% to the “Query of the animals' Health and dental that don’t enjoy exemption" also for animal medicaments and substances capable of to be used in their production, have increased by 10% as substances or products likely to be used for animal nutrition. They decided to separate the human health care from animals, as if they were inferior to us in health issues, all this is because the President Rajoy believes that having pets is a luxury that the government apparently wants to take advantage .

For my part I will continue taking my pet and taking it to query if she needs it, but not many people think the same way as me, especially those who don’t have much income at home, because not only has increased the VAT on pets but also in markets and resources needed to satisfy our minimum requirements. Many people decide that it’s not more necessary to take their pets to the vet what will make the diseases to spread more (because, for example, the dog may not be taken to be vaccinated against rabies) or increased animal abandonment or discarding the idea of having even a pet because it is a "luxury".

They have also increased by 21% tickets to zoos, thus will make less and less people to go there so the assistance that support the needs of these wild and exotic animals will fail. However, the only positive of this is the increase in VAT from 18% to 21% on tickets to bullfights, not much but it's something and may well be fewer people who want to see how someone torture poor bulls.
