Show your support for the freedom to own a small flock of chickens in Lanark. Times are changing and self sufficiency is alive and well in Lanark. A lot of residents have gardens and would like to take their self sufficiency to the next step. Other residents like the educational possibilities it brings for their children. Some just like fresh eggs.

Thank you all for the support! Its working! Keep Sharing and talking to friends, family and neighbors about the benefits of keeping a small backyard flock. Several people at the meeting asked for a paper petition because they were not on Face Book. We are working on a paper petition and are in need of volunteers to get signatures on the paper petition. Thank you all so much for taking the time to sign the petition! We have 54 LOCAL signatures so far! Keep up the good work. Keep sharing and talking to friends and neighbors to get the word out. If you would like to take your support a step further, show up to the next city council meeting on the 19th. There is strength in numbers!
