Hello, My name is Michele Lange. I'm sponsoring a friend of mine from Africa named Charles Gongbeh. I encouraged him to open an account on gofundme and tell his story because it's very sad and I think the world needed to hear it. Charles lost his home and most of his family during the civil war in Liberia and is now living in Buduburam Refugee Camp---in deplorable conditions.
He is 17 y.o. he turns 18 in October and wants to somehow come to the United States to attend college. He is very smart and speaks only English. His dream is to become a pilot. He can come to this country with a student Visa and complete Aviation Training and become a United States citizen. He stays positive despite his circumstances and says God is who keeps him going and looking forward to the future. Right now he just needs a little help for food while he is still in the refugee camp, so he can keep his mind sharp and competitive while hoping to complete all the steps he'll need to come to our wonderful country and fulfil him dream.
