We Want BOYS VOLLEYBALL in Hillsborough County, FL Schools!

  • by: Vicky Page
  • recipient: All supporters of expanding both BOYS & GIRLS competitive volleyball in our schools

Last Spring the FSHAA reported 2,225 BOYS in over 150 high schools in the State of Florida played on their BOYS school volleyball teams. Unfortunately in the Tampa area, only 3 High Schools offer Boys Volleyball and 0 Middle Schools. Competitive Boys Volleyball here in Tampa is way behind the rest of the state!
As to the popularity of the Sport of Volleyball, GIRLS Volleyball is now ranked #1 as the fastest growing school sport in the country. (NFHS)

In Hillsborough County School District there is NO opportunity for Middle School OR High School BOYS to play competitively on a school volleyball team. An easy solution would be to adjust the current Middle School seasons by offering Boys Soccier + Girls Volleyball in the Fall and offer Girls Soccer + Boys Volleyball in the Spring.
The FSHAA Boys High School season is in March & April.

We need your support! PLEASE sign this petition to help bring competitive BOYS VOLLEYBALL to the Hillborough County, Florida Schools. Please also forward this onto others who support Boys Competitive Volleyball!
Our Goal is to get 1000 signatures before Dec. 31st so we can get teams formed for the 2015 FSHAA BOYS VOLLEYBALL Season.
                                                            Thank you!

Hi,
Please take a second to sign & submit this Petition:
"Support Boys Volleyball in the Hillsborough County Middle & High Schools in Florida"
I really think this is important for BOYS to have the same opportunity to play Competitive Volleyball in our schools as GIRLS do. I'd like to encourage you to add your signature too! It's free and takes just a few seconds of your time.

Thanks!
