It is with such saddness that our Capital City of Canada seems to have a rampant problem of harrasment from differernt departments within the city .Many examples can be given over many years.Fingers can be pointed in different directions -and yet-people are not fired.Hmmm..
I have encountered this behaviour many times over the last few years from the welfare department(ontario works) of the city.I have exhauseted every available resource following strict proceedure and yet no change.
They now believe they have the right to override doctors authority from legitamate doctor signed letters. They often fluctuate between decisions of various workers .Often told they cannot be contacted by email(wrong!),blocking their phone number so people cannot see who is calling so often donot answer,refusing to give bus tickets to people when they have to appear in court and it is out of their area,refusing to give pregnant women a bus pass,asking for money given to be paid back when they already owe the client money,not covering the children-which is stated by law they are to,being late with the customers money for no legitamate reason ect...
We have a local law office that is called "Community Legal Services" where they offer free service for people who have been harrasment by our city ontario works.They have clients weekly.They do this as non-profit and goodwill.The province of Ontario refuses to address or cover this service. Ps. They need a corpoate sponser to install a handicap door for their office as they donot have the funds-Know anyone?
**Cost cutting measure can now be seen.With this local legal office providing this free service Toronto is no longer needed.**
I have money owed to me and am still waiting...................
