Car manufacturer Cadillac has used abused elephant Tai – who features in the movie “Water for Elephants” – for its new commercial “Evolution of Luxury” advertising the 2015 Escalade.

Tai is owned by California-based elephant supplier Have Trunk Will Travel (HTWT), the owners and staff of which were caught on camera by ADI beating and shocking Tai and other elephants with stun guns during routine handling and training sessions.

ADI contacted Cadillac to inform them of the terrible abuse to which Tai and other elephants at HTWT are subjected but have yet to receive a response.

Hi Kelly,

Thank you for your interest in our campaign against Cadillac using Tai the elephant in their commercial.

The post received 1,621 shares on the ADI Facebook page, and several ADI supporters said they either sent a letter, emailed, or contacted Cadillac via Facebook. Cadillac has still not responded to ADI directly.

Rather than a petition, we’re asking supporters to send messages. If anyone would like to do so, here is Cadillac’s contact information: The info. in the action
