Many people go on vacations to enjoy rest and relaxation. The last thing they need is sales individuals harassing them to sign a timeshare contract. But unfortunately, many honest vacationers are scammed into signing because of high-pressure salespersons using deceptive sales tactics with misleading and inaccurate portrayals of what buyers could expect from their timeshare ownership. For example, most buyers are promised they can travel anywhere and anytime with no wait times but that is not the case. The sought after resorts require a 3-4 year waiting period. Also timeshare companies have a cancellation date but many are difficult if not impossible to reach within that due date, hence keeping the buyer locked into the contract.
