The 7th National Assembly of Nigeria recently set in motion, a process of the review of the 1999 Constitution of the Nigerian Federation.
The Nigerian Bar Association has faulted the process employed and the issues raised as matter of major concern.
The average Nigerian on the street, no doubt, has not been educated enough to be a genuine contributor to the excesise. Neither are we the Nigerian masses in a strategic enough position of power, to influence the outcome of the one document that will determine the very terms of our existence and co-existence in Nigeria.
We at The Nigerian Oracle are worried that the Nigerian people are once again the oligarchy; the powers that have controlled Nigeria for over 50 years will again control the future of all Nigerians in delusional travesty of a people’s popular constitution.
