Provide Support & Funding for Local Brownsville, Texas Shelter

The Brownsville animal shelter is a crucial and useful resource in their own community but the fear is that without some funding, the facility will have to close down. They have been an important part in saving many homeless animals in the area.  As stated by the President of the shelter stated, “We are closer to meeting our mission of making Brownsville a no-kill community and saving the animals in our area.”

Various fund raisers and an event known as Christmas in July was held to generate help and support from the local residents but the need to keep this shelter running still falls short of what it needs to serve the community.  “This is an opportunity for local residents to help us care for adoptable pets,” states the supervisor at the facility “Having donations of needed items such as dog and cat food, newspapers, toys, treats and blankets will help us make these lovable pets more comfortable during their stay at the shelter.”

We are pleading with the Mayor to help in providing some necessary funding that will allow this shelter to continue its important work for animals that would otherwise not have a chance in life. You can help us in our efforts by signing and sharing this petition.  We need to encourage the Mayor to do whatever is necessary to keep this important organization and facility up and running, saving and protecting the animals in the area.

City of Brownsville, Texas - Tony Martinez Mayor – The Brownsville Animal Shelter is an icon in the community and necessary for the health and well-being of homeless animals in the area.  We are urging you to help this facility and provide some funding that will allow it to continue serving the community and saving many animals that may otherwise not have a chance in life.  Support this facility with funding for the benefit of the animals.
