Support a world wide minimum wage

Creating a world wide minimum wage is the first step towards reducing the gap between the 1% and the working and middle class people of the world. Ensuring that workers all over the world are paid an equal minimum wage reduces the competitive advantage of countries without wage controls over nations like the US. With a minimum wage in effect all over the world no longer will a company have an incentive to move away from American soil where workers may ear $10 to $15 dollars an hour to a country where workers only earn $1 or $2 dollars per day.

In turn this increases the market place for consumer goods by creating purchasing power in countries that currently lack even essential services for their communities let alone a market for major appliances or luxury electronics.

When the cost of labor is equalized the premium quality companies will look for are the capabilities of their workers and not ease with which they may be exploited.
