Change TTC transfers to be time based rather than stop based

Many of us are trying to be environmentally responsible and take transit more. One problem many Torontonians have is trying to get day-to-day errands done without paying multiple fares. Picking up your child from school or day care, grocery shopping or simply walking to the next stop has become an expensive hassle. As stopping to shop is the primary reason people would like time-based transfers, there is an additional benefit to the retail sector. We are the Largest city in Canada and need to put the ease of transit use as a priority. The TTC's time-based transfer along St.Clair is being tested, but we need to pressure the Mayor to roll it out city-wide in 2015. This seemingly small move would reduce the amount of cars on the road and greatly benefit low-income Torontonians as well as the population as a whole.

Dear John Tory,

Many of us are trying to be environmentally responsible and take transit more. One problem many Torontonians have is trying to get day-to-day errands done without paying multiple fares. Picking up your child from school or day care, grocery shopping or simply walking to the next stop has become an expensive hassle. As stopping to shop is the primary reason people would like time-based transfers, there is an additional benefit to the retail sector. We are the Largest city in Canada and need to put the ease of transit use as a priority. We applaud the TTC's time based initiative along St.Clair, but we would like it rolled out city-wide in 2015 This seemingly small move would reduce the amount of cars on the road and greatly benefit low-income Torontonians as well as the population as a whole.

Sincerely

Your transit customers, present and future
