We began our petition drive on May 15th. It's been just over 30 years since Fr. Aloysius Ellacuria, C.M.F. passed away on April 6, 1981. He was a missionary priest of the Claretian congregation and was well known in the Los Angeles Archdiocese of California for his mystical gifts. He attributed his healing ministry to God's mercy, and he was known for reading souls and as a miracle worker, and especially for his devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.
Living witnesses are becoming less avaliable to testify before a Los Angeles Archdiocesean Tribunal because because of the delay of 30 years.
Please sign the petition to the Archbishop of Los Angeles so that he opens a formal cause for the process sometime in September of this year. We urgently request the public's support for a formal cause of sainthood for Fr. Aloysius.

Fr. Aloysius is now called "Servant of God" by the Congregation of Saints in Rome as of April 11, 2016. GIVE YOUR SUPPORT TO OUR PETITION to the Archbishop of Los Angeles, Jose Gomez to appoint the tribunal, commissions, and interview the witnesses... Please sign our petition. Thank you.

Archbishop Jose Gomez recognized the Association for the Beatification and Canonization of Fr. Aloysius Ellacuria, C.M.F. as a Private Association of the Christian Faithful. The date on the Decree is September 8, 2014 - Feast of the Birthday of Mary. This decree means we are official. More information at our website.

Since we began two weeks ago, we filed and were approved by the State of California with a restatement and amendment to the Articles of Incorporation for "The Friends of Father Aloysius." We are now officially the "Association for the Beatification and Canonization of Fr. Aloysius Ellacuria, C.M.F."
