- In the arcades of the tourist quarter of Osaka,there are vending machines where you can catch live lobsters using electrified grabbers. It is nothing short of animal cruelty in the name of barbaric 'entertainment'.
This petition is addressed to the mayor of Osaka,Hirofumi Yoshimura,requesting that he intervenes to stop this disgusting and inhumane spectacle which should shame anyone involved in profiteering from it.
As Osaka seems to be one of the few cities in Japan where the Marine Catchers are operating,it becomes a matter of great urgency that any arcade allowing these machines on their premises is placed under the strictest moratorium.
No one seeing footage of a terrified live lobster being captured as part of a clearly sadistic game is left with the impression that it is just common or garden innocent fun.
