THE MLS NEEDS TO PAY US FOR THE INFORMATION THEY SELL

Realtors need to be paid a royalty for heir listing information being sold by the MLS. You pay dues to be a member of the MLS and then have to pay consumer direct websites to be associated with your own listings. This needs to stop.

OUR MLS SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED TO BE A SERVICE TO THE REALTOR COMMUNITY, NOW THEY HAVE TAKEN CONTROL OF OUR INDUSTRY BY SELLING OUR LISTING INFORMATION TO SEVERAL CONSUMER DIRECT WEBSITES. THE MLS CHARGES US DUES TO BE A PART OF THE SYSTEM AND THEN SELLS OUR INFORMATION WITHOUT PAYING A ROYALTY TO US. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, WE HAVE TO PAY THESE WEBSITES TO HAVE CREDIT FOR OUR OWN LISTINGS, AND ANYONE WHO WISHES TO PAY MORE CAN THEN APPEAR TO BE THE LISTING AGENT.
