Is fracking killing unborn babies in Utah? Take urgent action today!

We've all heard that gas fracking is so toxic, it can set our tap water on fire. Now Rolling Stone is reporting that in Utah, fracking might also be killing babies and causing stillbirths.

The stories are heartbreaking - few things are worse in this life than the pain of losing a child.

Fracking is incredibly dirty, releasing enormous amounts of soot and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in to the air. Add in the fact that it takes thousands of trips from smoggy big-rig trucks to service a fracking well, and that's an awful lot of air pollution.

Even though Vernal has just 9,000 residents, its VOC pollution was "equivalent to 100 million cars' exhaust" the year the babies started to die! Shockingly, the Bush administration made sure fracking is largely exempt from the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts.

Learn even more about the health threats from fracking here.

Unfortunately, rather than being lauded as a hero for trying to save childrens' lives, the midwife who first discovered these deaths is now facing death threats herself for standing up to the fossil fuel giants. That means the rest of us need to step up and act as champions, too, so that our voices will resonate together. Will you take action today?

Sign the petition to President Obama and Congress: No more water on fire, no more climate change, and no more dead babies! Ban dirty fracking now!

Fracking is bad for the air we breathe, releasing enormous amounts of soot and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in to the air, as well as requiring thousands of trips from smoggy big-rig trucks.

It's bad for water supplies, taking millions of gallons of water to frack a well while leaking chemicals into the drinking water below.

It's bad for the climate, releasing enough methane during production to balance out its lack of carbon when burned.

And now Rolling Stone is reporting that unborn babies are dying because of fracking!
