Make Spay and Neuter Mandatory for Cats and Dogs in Tennessee

  • by: Wendy Palmer

Legislation needs to pass a mandatory spay/neuter law for Tennessee (some exemptions may apply). The pet population is extremely high, and we as pet owners need to be responsible by preventing unwanted pets. Often these cats and dogs end up in all ready over crowded kill shelters because some people won't take precautions and have their pet spayed or neutered. Even worse, some of these animals can end up as strays dumped in rural communities left to starve or be hit by cars, become diseased or attacked by predators. These animals didn't ask to be here so, its our Humane duty to be a voice for the voiceless.
