The ongoing drought in California has left the state with a limited water supply. To make matters worse, the state recently discovered that nine separate fracking wells have leaked a total of 3 billion gallons of toxic wastewater into our aquifers.
Fracking always comes at too great of an environmental cost, but given how precious a commodity water is at this point, we especially can't afford to risk contaminating more water now. As such, we call on California politicians to immediately put a stop to fracking in the state.
