Save Florida's Green Swamp From Pointless Pipeline

Everyone knows that a gas pipeline brings destruction and loss of wildlife and natural habitat. So why has the Environmental Protection Agency given the green light to a pipeline that will cut through Florida's Green Swamp along with other conservation areas? Altogether, the proposed "Sabal Trail pipeline" will compromise 176 acres of wetland and other critical habitat. The EPA originally declined approval of the pipeline, citing obvious concerns about the impact on rivers, springs, and wetlands. But now, after meeting with the pipeline's would-be builders, the EPA has reversed its ruling. There's little doubt that this pipeline will bring vast destruction. Please join with me in asking Lieutenant General Thomas P. Bostick, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, to stop construction of this pipeline.

To Lieutenant General Thomas P. Bostick, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers:

We the undersigned are, to say the least, dismayed to learn that the Environmental Protection Agency has greenlighted the Sabal Trail pipeline. This proposed pipeline threatens Florida's wildlife and marshes as well as rivers and springs. It also appears that the EPA knows better than to approve this project. Initially, they declined it,  but now, and for no good reason, they have changed course. We call on you to stop the construction of this pipeline for the good of Florida's open spaces and wildlife.
