Halt Wolf Trapping near Denali Park

The park boundry around Alaska's Denali National Park's used to be a buffer zone closed to wolf hunting, until the Board of Game eliminated the buffer in 2010.

Two wolves from the park were fatally snared right outside the park boundary by a trapper who shot an aging horse to use as wolf bait, according to Alaska State Troopers. Without the buffer zone, people lure wolves out of the park to kill them.

We ask the Alaska Board of Game to reverse its decision and re-instate the buffer zone where trapping and hunting are illegal through the upcoming hunting season.
