LET LOUISE KEEP HER CATS!

To all neighbours of Perth and beyond we know we have many more desperate issues to acclaim justice for and taking away the house of a 74 year old woman is not one of them. Simply for her kind heart and compassion Louise of Maylands must move or have ALL of her cats taken away from her! Yes there are many, indeed 30 but are all sterilised, microchipped and cared for out of her own money! Even her vet stated she is doing the neighbourhood a service by preventing over 70 female stray cats from breeding BUT ALSO from 7000 unwanted kitten births!

The staple of the neighbourhood complaint is smell but with animals and all pets, comes the dirty work of the 'call of nature'. Do you expect an elderly woman in her seventies to bend over day in and day out to sift through dirt for excrement when the cats have already done their business and buried it already? No decent person would! Another point of complaints were the wandering of the cats over nearby rooves. I'm sure the wandering of cats during the night would be an option rather taken by the neighbours considering the other option would be to force Louise to lock them all inside of which would not only be detrimental to the cats health, but hers too.

Ultimately for Louise her situation is to be evicted and move herself, all her belongings and all of her beloved pets to somewhere that would take her so called 'baggage' or to give up every last little soul she's come to know and love to be transferred through an animal shelter. What place would offer her allowance to keep such a number of cats? Would she even have tolerable neighbours there if so? And could you physically meet an elderly woman and turn away from her with all of her own perfectly healthy 30 furry family members and give them to an uncertain future whereas she had given them her heart? Wouldn't it just be cruel.

Its almost impossible to home all the stray cats there are in our suburbs and once someone with all the knowledge and compassion comes along to take them off the streets and ease the problem, who are we to apply 'justice' to them. Please sign the petition to simply show you are a member of the community who supports the work Louise is doing and allow her to be with all of her cats. Thank you.
