I never forget when one of our Presidents called press ”The Fjeld Lemming herd”!

Lapland is known about the awsome nature and one of the nature is the Fjeld Lemming. The population on different years are very big and the nature is answering to that with all the animals and life.

The Lemming is best known about the wandering of the herds. When you meet a Lemming don't touch it because it's cute but very battlefull.

The Fjeld Lemming is breeding about 8 times/year and the young lemmings are sexually matured at the age 1 month; relly one month old. So if the year is good for them there are so much of them where they are going that cars have to stop and wait.
