Win The War on Bed Bugs in Our District

As we all know Lexington School District One has had an ongoing bed bug issue for a few years. The district doesn't have a policy in place for bed bugs. Bed bugs are quickly becoming a widespread epidemic across our state. They cost thousands to rid of your home and study's have proven that they can be a carrier of chagas disease. Our district needs to take the lead on limiting the spread throughout our schools. By signing this petition, we ask that Lexington 1 board members implement a policy with the preventative measures listed below:
1: Letters home to all parents
2:Inspections of classrooms within 24 hours of finding a bed bug
3:Treatment of classrooms and the busses with Alpine Dust, Delta Dust, Temprid FX or Temprid SC
4:Bagging of items at school and on bus
5: No Bookbags for affected classroom(s)
6: Make financial assistance information publicized and readily available for families throughout the district
7:Not allowing children to return to school until home is treated
****Several cases have been identified throughout several school in the district.*****
