Homeless Action Petition to the City of Fayetteville, NC / Cumberland County, NC

We the people and residents of the city of Fayetteville and the County of Cumberland having affixed our names to this petition for cause and action having come together with one mind and one Intention do herby with extreme urgency and intent of heart call for the City of Fayetteville and the County of Cumberland to work to facilitate appropriate programming and funding for the homeless members of our community.

Homelessness in our community is growing at a staggering rate and the lack of concern for the homeless in our community shown by both City of Fayetteville and Cumberland County officials is unacceptable. Our homeless are in need of proper housing, employment, washing facilities and other HUMAN accommodations. We are STRONGLY urging the City and County to IMMEDIATELY allocate funds and necessary to assist the homeless. We strong resent ANY attempt to force the homeless to receive services through “Operation In As Much” as many have expressed mistreatment and bullying practices through this particular organization, its staff and affiliates.

The people of this City and County love dearly those who have falling on hard times and we expect our representative leadership to move in accordance with this petition and to address through legislative actions the concerns an desires expressed in this petition constructed and signed by THE PEOPLE OF FAYETTEVILLE NC and CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to IMMEDIATELY implement programs, allocate funds, and provide facilities of shelter for the homeless in Fayetteville/Cumberland County. We are specifically requesting that the County of Cumberland and City of Fayetteville IMMEDIATELY begin the implementation of our request.
