Multinational mega-banks are back to risky business and rising consumer fees ... avoid them!!
Have you noticed that it was primarily the large multinational banks that had to be propped up by government loans due to risky business activities? It is those same banks that are again back to engaging in those same risky activities! They are the same banks that are leading the charge to raise consumer fees on accounts, debit cards, ATM fees, etc.
Typically you will find that service charges by smaller local or regional banks or credit unions are 20-50% less than those charged by the multinational banks. In addition, these smaller institutions typically provide consumers better customer service, convenient locations, and invest in the communities in which their customers live.
Pledge to use your money wisely and support a local bank or credit union in your community instead of one of the multinational mega-banks!
